Finished the main game, and started up Soul of Rebirth... and thank god for the Arcane Lab weapons... making Josef and Minwu useful and being able to kind of speed through the Jade passage and to the town. For those of you who don't know, here's how Soul of Rebirth works... get through Jade Passage as quickly as possible, hopefully without getting you butt kicked on the way there. Get your party members, grind in Unknown Palace, get Ultima, Grind some more, go get the ultimate weapons, keep grinding... kill the Light Emperor.
I give myself an outside chance at finishing Soul of Rebirth today... but, most likely tomorrow. We'll see.

So, finished up the Arcane Lab/Sanctuary today, and got myself setup for the end of the game. The one nice thing about this edition and the Arcane Lab is it gives you an optional super boss to fight. Though strangely you have to kind of do the "bad" ending of the lab to do it. The good ending just kind of leaves him there. Ah well. Anywho, he was mildly difficult... like he got Leon under 1000hp for a bit, and I had to cure for a while. But still, not too difficult.
And by the way, after i beat Deumion, I reset the game and did the good ending... because you don't even get a bestiary entry for him!!!
So, expect another post at sometime today with the completion data for the main game of FF: II. Then I'll get started on Soul of Rebirth.I think how I'm going to handle the end review is I'm going to have a separate post from the completion data... plus I'll have a separate completion data post for soul of rebirth.

Put alot of work in yesterday. Ultima is still fairly useless even with all those levels... id I have time I may level up some random stuff to try and see if I can use it, but otherwise Flare is fine. I ditched the Masamune once I got a halfway decent sword. Again, flare works :).

So apparently I could get Maria's Lab weapon earlier than I thought I could, ah well! So, back to the plot. My goal is to get through a lot, I'd really really like to get lab run #7 done today for Leon... that's going to involve a lot of bosses. But, its quite doable. My team is really quite a powerhouse now. May need to stop and do a small bit of spell levelling soon. Would like to have some more defensive spells and buff spells if possible.

Wow, the Leila runthrough of the Arcane Lab was alot tougher than I thought it was going to be. Dark Behemoth was tough even with the Masamune. Started the Ricard runthrough and it seems a lot easier. Should easily finish this today and get through some more plot. Really can't wait to get to a point where I can get some useful weapons for Maria and Guy... other than the Ripper, that thing is awesome.

Lot of plot gameplay today. Though, I did get back into the arcane lab for a few rooms today, and man have they ratcheted up the difficulty for the post Fynn rooms. Oh man, I feel as if I'm actually close to being underlevelled for these rooms... of course the Masamune helps greatly with that.
Felt bad, but had to get Guy off of Axes as I just could not find one better than the Mythril Axe, and it was becoming a liability.
My goal for today is really just to get through the arcane lab stuff. It is quite difficult and there are so many new rooms to clear, its hard to speed through. Very much looking forward to it though!
