Where I Currently Am(FF X-2): Chapter 2 (35% Complete, Bestiary 39% Complete)

Where I Currently Am(Dissidia): Achievement hunting... currently going through Shade Impulse Chapter 1 with all the characters

Stuff Did Today (FF X-2): Finished with the calibration of the towers at the Thunder Plains. Next, I headed to the Moonflow and found Tobli who hadn't sold any tickets for his big performance yet... so of course being a JRPG we take on all tasks assigned to us. Who needs to save the world when you can sell tickets? We sold 10 tickets and made a nice little profit for ourselves. We returned to the airship, and used all our profits so far to pay off O'akas debt. So, he should be able to return to his shop in Macalania soon enough. Until then, he's decided to sell us items at a discount, yay! Over in Luca, we were interviewed by Shelinda, who finally got tired of being ordered around by the temples. Next we headed over to Mushroom Rock Road. Here, Yaibal had been telling everyone that the Gullwings would join the Youth League... which is untrue. We were confronted by Lucil and Elma and we explained things... We also revisited the Den of Woe where Nooj was trying to break the seal. He gave us his Crimson Sphere that he was trying to use to do so. While this was happening, Yuna and Rikku realized that maybe Paine had some history with Nooj...

Stuff Did Today(Dissidia): Finished Shade Impulse (Chapter 1) with Cecil and Cloud

Status & Notes:

Happy dance time!!!! Why, you ask? I finished the tower calibrations, that's why? Believe it or not, I used no cheats or aides as well. Took me probably another 45 mins for Tower 7. I probably missed at 29 4 or 5 times before I finally got it. It's really cruel that once you get used to the timing of 25-29... they throw an even more ridiculous speed at you for the VERY LAST ONE! Ugh!!!

Now, I did Tower 10 completely from memory, no writing or anything. What's my technique you ask? Good question. First let me just say if you can't figure out how to do reverse memory for 2 and 3 items in a list, then just stop reading this. Once it hits four items, I begin to compartmentalize the items. In other words, I'll look at the first two and say them out loud, then get the last two real quickly and input it quick and recall the first two. For 5 items, I remember the first 3 and again, just input the last 2 really quickly. For 6, I do 3 and 3. This is a little tricky, I'll give you, but it is completely doable if you can focus.

Not much to say about the rest of what I did in X-2. We've got a little bit of a ways before the next couple interesting parts of the game, which I would say are Leblanc HQ and Bevelle at the end of Chapter 2.

Over in Dissidia, I'm finding it a little bothersome going back and learning to play as some of the other characters again. Played as Cecil and Cloud today. I really don't like Cloud right now... he's a very basic fighter with no real outstanding moves... at least not at his current state. Fighting a comparable XP level CPU Jecht with a high AI was amazingly difficult. Cecil was okay... he gets some nice attacks which are very useful, so I got through Shade Impulse very quickly.

Today should be just a Dissidia day. Really only going to be one more day of FF X-2 tomorrow before I go on vacation for a couple of weeks. Hopefully, I can get done with most of the rest of Chapter 2 before I go. Dissidia will continue to be played after vacation, and if we finish it, we'll be able to start on FF XI as well.
