Stuff Did Today (FF X-2): Finished up the Fiend Tales for the last few fiends in Chapter 3... then I learned Bribe for everyone and procured some Speed Bracers and Turbo Ethers. I went to try and knock out the last few Grand Cup Hards... and found myself overmatched by Tonberry the Ripper and the Shady Duo...

Stuff Did Today (FF XI): Explored Windurst quite a lot, and took on all the quests available to me... showed a new hat model around Windurst, and then decided it was time to go out training again. Killed alot of stuff as I headed north to the Canyon to finish my next tutorial mission, which I did, then I headed back to town where I was told it was time to make it to Level 10 

Status & Notes: 

Ugh... so... time to do some serious training in Creature Creator. I'm completely overmatched by Tonberry the Ripper and the Shady Duo right now... even with Vigor and Auto-Haste. Luckily I still have a lot of spare money, so we're going to head out and buy a bunch of Bangles to up my HP alot... then its time to start farming Shiva a lot to up our defense, and the Chocobo Cup to get some Minerva Plates to up our Mg. Defense...  sigh... fun grind... may even consider going for a couple of Shining Bracers for Auto-Protect... we'll see.

Over in Vana'diel, still getting used to everything. This is a much grindier MMO than I'm used to. Again, this was a fairly common thing for the MMOs of the time... basically any MMO before WoW came out had a lot of grinding. Quests were used to tell the story more than to advance your character. Thankfully, with my purchase of the game I received a couple items that make it a lot easier as a newbie. The Chocobo Shirt and the Destrier Barding. One makes skill grinding a snap and gives me incerased movement speed which is huge, because it takes a long time to travel... the other gives me much increased accuracy to speed up killing things.

Today, I'm probably going to take a break. May get a little XI time in, but I'm not counting on it. I may not get a current setup for X-2 up until tomorrow.
