Stuff Did Today(Final Fantasy Tactics): Nothing

Stuff Did Today(FF X): We headed across the Thunder Plains, much to the dismay of Rikku who has an absolute fear of thunder. We made it to another one of Rin's Travel Agencies where Rikku shivered in fear and Yuna wanted to rest. Yuna went and watched a sphere she picked up in Guadosalam. She says this was the will of Jyscal and wants his son to be "taken care of". Yuna decides she will marry Seymour... We then make it to Macalania Woods and Tidus doesn't understand why Yuna is doing this, but Auron explains that maybe Yuna just wants to be able to negotiate with him. Then we pass a guy that says that butterflies hide secret stuff... great.

Status & Notes:
See, told you, FF X progress... hooray! Really though, this is a pretty boring part of the game... plot wise... what it is, is the first time in the game where you can really start moving through the Sphere Grid at a decent pace. Thank god for Iron Giants and Chimerae... I think that's how you pluralize that. If not, TOO BAD! No, I'm not doing the sigil sidequests now... sure you can stop and do the lightning dodging (though ick, doing it with monster enconters)... and you can do the butterfly thing... but, really there's no point, and you can always come back once you get the airship, and that is in fact what I will be doing. It is funny, though, I feel like I really made a lot of movement in the sphere grids and then I go to do my current setup and it doesn't feel like I got as many stat gains as I thought I did. Ah well.

Alright, let's get to today's Tactics Advance race. Today, we're doing Moogles. Moogles are a very varied race with some specialty classes including the almighty EMULATOR CLASS!!!! Yeah, we'll get to that in a minute. But anyway, they have some good magic classes, a couple decent physical classes, and again some very odd specialty classes. They have a 3 branch tree, which thankfully is very straight. Let's start going through it.

The first branch we'll do is the magical branch. This starts off with the eponymous black mage. Yes, this is the same as any other black mage, you get your elemental spells, and is a very useful ranged damage dealer... especially for taking out rockbeasts and flans. Learning 5 abilities of the Black Mage unlocks the Time Mage class. Time mages have massive magical power, and can truly manipulate battle order on the field with Haste, Quicken, Stop, Slow, etc. Also, the almighty Concentrate + Demi combo is pretty good as well.

The next branch we'll go through is the Animist branch. The Animist is a specialty class that has some very interesting abilities. They get a full cure, a barrier spell, can inflict nasty debuffs such as frog, charm, and sleep in an area. Really, not a bad support class. Learning a skill from here unlocks the Mog Knight and Gunner classes. Mog Knights are the true physical class of the moogles. They get a wide range of abilities from range strikes to tanking to self-heals. The route to go if you're looking for a physical moogle. The gunner is the ultimate in ranged fighting. Their skills can either do elemental damage or inflict statuses. Plus, they can learn Concentrate, probably the most overpowered skill in the game.

The final branch is the Thief branch. Thieves of course are always useful for stealing some unique equipment, just the same as their Hume counterparts. Learning a couple thief skills unlock the Juggler and Gadgeteer classes. The juggler might just be one of the best debuff classes in the game. Their dagger skill deals damage and disables at the same time giving you great advantage. They also can stop, berserk, confuse all at range. The Gadgeteer class has the most powerful effects in the game! Supporting an entire side of the battlefield... the only problem is what side gets supported is COMPLETELY RANDOM! That's right, you get a 50/50 chance of any ability affecgting either your team ot the enemies and it hits all of them. Their skills can place Haste, Healing, Doom, Sleep, Barrier, etc. Of course, if you use an emulator you can just force this to work on your team by reloading states... so abusive!!!
