Status & Notes:

Couple more E3 notes... figured I'd do a non-Final Fantasy note version... other things I'm finding interesting. First of all, Smash Bros is going to be what sells the Wii U if there's any indication. Tried to go to a Best Buy demo of the game yesterday, the line was over 2 hours long before the event even started. Craziness. Anyway, I'm actually a big fan of all the games that division does. Was a big Kid Icarus fan as well. I'm actually very interested in Fantasy Life for 3DS. Seems to have a real Dragon Quest IX vibe to it mixed with a little Action RPG/Zeldaish to it. I LOVED DQ IX... such a completist's dream... also one of the best multi-classing systems I've ever played. So yeah... I'll definitely play that one again sometime soon...

Back to current events. Have a lot to talk about today. Let's start with some FF X Super Bosses! Dark Bahamut is probably one of my favorite Super Bosses I've faced so far. He has everything. Need ridiculous stats? Check. Need awesome equipment? Check... Ribbon is almost absolutely necessary. Tough strategy, check... dealing with Impulse AND the Overdrive gauge makes all your decisions quite difficult. I died my first two attempts on him. First, just learning to deal with Impulse. The second time because I got a little cocky and also forgot you need to Dispel after you survive impulse. My stats were JUST high enough to take him on. Auron was my only character that could survive impulse... so my other two characters were basically just making sure that he was always at Max HP and dispelled and then I just used Auron to deal damage... and having Yuna summon when necessary to take a Mega Flare Hit...

The other Dark Aeons I faced were a little disappointing. Yeah, I mean I'm sure Dark Anima might be pretty difficult if you don't have Ribbon... and to be honest, when I faced him I had forgotten to put the Ribbon armor on Auron as I had a No Encounters armor to start... so I had to esuna him a couple times before I could switch his armor... but really, he was pretty much just a regular old Dark Aeon fight... just a lot of HP, but nothing really special. The Dark Magus Sisters is more about the minigame then anything else. When I fought them I fought Sandy and Mindy first and then Cindy. I really didn't want to do all 3 at once, because I didn't feel like dealing with Delta Attack. There are some advantages to doing Sandy and Mindy together though. With your overdrive mode on comrade, your gauge will fill up quite quickly and you NEED your overdrives to hit Mindy... yeah, unless you want to grind your luck to 255... you're not hitting Mindy with anything but overdrives... and again, if you have Ribbon... Mega Graviton will just deal about 4600 HP damage to your party so, yeah... heal sometimes...

In Dissidia, I'm finally starting to have a little difficulty. I'd gotten around alot of the difficulty of the high level rare battle pieces in previous tales was to use defend properly and get a lot of crits to break them... well, its hard to block casters... So, basically I'm going to have to level up quite a bit to take on the rare battle pieces in Squall's playthrough which means just more trips through before I'm done... oh well...
