Stuff Did Today(FF X): Time for the rematch with Penance. This time I led off with Trio of 9999. Then I counted to 5... alot... and then I counted to 5 some more... and Penance still wasn't dead so I kept counting to 5... and then the squire came in... 3 sir!!! But, no, really, I wanted to count to 5... And then he died... and left a lot of Dark Matter and Master Spheres behind... hooray! I took my PS3 gold trophy and headed back into Sin... after traversing the city inside of Sin, I came to a tower that drilled itself into the ground and somehow was teleported inside of it. I had to run around a lot picking up crystal balls... why? Good question... but after the 10th one, we were taken to see Jecht. The father, son reunion was great, but we had a metal concert to get to. So the music started and Jecht became a giant beast version of himself. One hit and he pulled a giant sword out of himself... I'll leave that one alone... two more hits and the aeon was gone.

Yu Yevon came out to investigate, and Jecht reminded us to summon the Aeons... then little Fayth boy reminded us to summon the Aeons... I will remind you now to summon the Aeons... Tidus said goodbye, finally divulging that the end of this battle will be the end of Tidus. So, one-by-one we kill off our precious Aeons, and finally Yu Yevon brought the fight to us himself... or at least showed up so I could one-shot him...

With Yu Yevon dead... Yuna sent everything... Auron... Sin.... the Aeons... Tidus disappeared, and Yuna confessed her love for him. Tidus dove off the airship and high-fived his dad... hooray!!!

So, two years later, and Yuna can now hold her breath for 2 minutes and 41 seconds... and despite no change to his character model, Wakka is now fat.... and has impregnated Lulu. Spira has started to reform, and two major groups have formed. New Yevon and the Youth League. Both groups really want Yuna to join their guild for the popularity. Rikku meanwhile has been salvaging ancient machina and found a very old sphere, which contains images of a man who looks exactly like Tidus! Yuna decides she's leaving to investigate...

Status & Notes: 

That's right... after 3 months... we're finally done with FF X! Holy crap... I really kind of can't believe it. I'm going to speak a bit about Penance to start off with... its a good fight. For the battle system it really tests you. I actually enjoy the endurance part of it. Knowing that taking a wrong turn anywhere in the fight can really mess you up and cause you to lose the fight. That said... if you do the fight correctly, there is really ZERO variety in the fight. It is just overcoming the same attack over and over and making sure the arms don't get in the way. So, that being said, while its a good fight. I still place Omega Beast Lv 6 from Dimensions as well as Iron Giant from FF III and probably Enuo from FF V as better Super Bosses. For a moment I wondered if I'd even put Dark Bahamut above it... but nah, this is a better fight.

Lemme recap the strat I used. First, I took out the left arm right away. Next I had Rikku use Trio of 9999 and started on the right arm, which casts Slowga uselessly on us as its first move. Next, we time killing the right arm right before its turn. When Rikku gets overdrive again, we use Ultra NulAll. Now, its just killing the arms at the correct time and dealing damage to the body when we can. When he hits phase 2, we use a Purifying Salt right away to take away his haste, cast dispel on whoever he attacks, and the rest is the same.

I may come back to the game to finish up some of the trophies, and maybe play some Blitzball... and if I do, I'll just let you know in the notes section here. I don't plan on posting any more current setups.

So, today, we start on FF X-2! I will be doing a single run getting 100% story completion... so making sure I have a good guide to work off of for that... would really hate to have to do a second run-through. Anyway, also, I'd like to just get the review of FF X out of the way as well, so once again I don't really plan on getting any Dissidia done today... though who knows, we will see how it goes.
