So, onto Rydia's Tale. Where we meet Luca!! Well, we don't meet her... we met her when she was a little girl, and Palom was flirting with her eww... well apparently they had a fling or something, which is referred to later... comedically. So, the gameplay here is nothing new, a nice little sidequest to find some ores to upgrade weapons for later.. Not really necessary, not anything you won't replace in the challenge dungeon, but whatever. Tomorrow I'll discuss the other sidequest, which involves rare drops... ewww

So, onto Rydia's Tale. Where we meet Luca!! Spoiler Alert... Sarcastic Plot Developments of the Day:
One day, Rydia decided to visit her friends in The Land of Summo... Feymarch... But just as she arrives, Leviathan and Esuna feel something. They're scared because they know it has a power level over 9000!!! So, as soon as Rydia enters, Leviathan makes a Spirit Bomb and throws it at her which teleports her to the entrance to The Feymarch... and all the monsters are petrified... except they can talk??? Yeah, I don't get it either. So, Rydia needs to warn everyone, because not nice things are happening.
She runs back through the cave and when she gets to the entrance, she looks for Luca, who apparently flew her there in the first place. Luca is nowhere to be found, and Rydia finds a random encounter where she discovers she can't summon monsters anymore, so now she's a lowly black mage... ah darn... anyway, Luca shows up and bombs the crap out of the bird attacking Rydia... without touching Rydia at all of course... yay Video Game Physics!
Anywho, Luca flies Rydia back to the Dwarf Castle, where we see the Red Wings bomb the crap out of the castle... They run in, and the King Giott informs us that a single woman overpowered all the dwarves and took the crystal... not that there's a single dead dwarf or anything... I think the King just handed it over. Rydia finds out that the woman who took the crystal has apparently stolen her powers of summoning. Sucks... Luca wants to go to the sealed cave to get the last crystal, and we'll do that, but first we go to the Sylvan cave because levelling up.
So, we level up, along with Luca's dolls, who are now significantly less powerful, but on our side... and apparently she only fixed up 2 of the 6 up, oh well. We find some Kokkol ore, and we take it to a dwarf who makes weapons for us, while apparently his wife is off banging another dwarf... (Yeah, I know, that pun takes some thought, but I refuse to explain it here!)... And we finally head to the Sealed Cave, we go here and we finally explain why we decided to break the seal 18 years ago... apparently you could bomb the crap out ofthis door...(in a cave) to open it. Okay... so we go through the same cave, with the same traps and get the same crystal. And Rydia is mildly surprised when a Demon Wall attacks the party... after passing our dps check, we have to walk back to the entrance, where Mysterious Girl shows up with her strange theme music and kicks the crap out of everyone. She says our lives are of no use to her, but she doesn't kill us... except for Calca and Brina...
We need to head to the surface, but not before Luca swears and vows to repair her dolls...
