Status + Notes:

Finished Rydia's Tale... and yes, time to talk about the second side quest. To be able to use the dolls Calca and Brina in the final tales of the game, you need to repair them. To do this you need to find 3 specific items in the Agart Cave. The Mythril Spring, which is just found in a pot, and the Mythril Nut and Bolt which are drops off a puppet monster in one room in B4 which only appears during the Waxing Moon... yeah. Only took me 3 kills to get both items. I think its supposed to take longer. I'll take the luck. Certainly not getting it on tails... Ah well.

So, the challenge cave for Rydia is much more difficult than Ceodore's. Took me quite a bit of time to get through the first time. I like that it forces you to use the crowd control spells the first time through... because otherwise you'll just get destroyed. I mean, seriously. I don't think I'd ever really used Stop before, and now I'm using it all the time.

So, the goal for today is to clear out the challenge dungeon. Any progress on Yang's tale after that would just be a bonus

Spoiler Alert... Sarcastic Plot Developments of the Day:

So we head to the surface and when we get there we see Palom riding on a black chocobo with a chick... and I'm not talking about a baby chocobo. Luca curses all men for their evil flirting ways and vows vengeance and sulks in a corner... which is really bad timing, because at that very moment some invisible ships decide to bomb the crap out of our airship. So, Luca snaps out of it just in time to crash land on Agart, which has recently opened up a Mythril Mine. This is very convenient because we need some supplies to fix the airship.

So, we descend through the cave, and because the moon is only half full we find another dragon, a green one. Luca mentions that if we find its tail we can trade it for a ring later... but no, this tail is also a lie. Like the cake... I want cake... So we get to the bottom and open a treasure chest... which holds a GIANT TURTLE. Now this turtle SETS ITSELF ON FIRE!!!! Rydia handles that turtle and we get some ore and take it back to the airship... but its not enough. We are apparently one spring, one bolt, and one nut short... BUT WAIT!

We did manage to sidetrack into the mine into this one room that had some puppets in it that only come out when the moon is the other half full... and they gave us some parts... exactly one spring, one nut, and one bolt. What are the odds. So, we fix the airshi... BUT WAIT!!! Earthquake!!!! Oh noes, it is Titan and he's going to make the volcano erupt... again... I mean really, its not hard... we drilled the damn thing open last game. So, we beat on Titan to distract it, but to no avail... until

Here comes the Man in Black... Planet Earth's Defender... here comes the man in black... and he takes care of Titan... and we fly off to the END OF CHAPTER!!!!
