Status + Notes:

Done with Yang's Tale... how boring. I think they seriously rushed that one out the door. I love how the challenge dungeon is running in a straight line and then getting loot at the end... not even a boss encounter... and seriously, escaping through the side doors is probably one useful if you forgot to bring potions... sigh...

On to Palom's Tale. Not far through it yet, but I like the change from complete melee fighters, to complete mages. Should make things interesting. My goal for today... get up to the Challenge Dungeon!

Spoiler Alert... Sarcastic Plot Developments of the Day:

Meanwhile... we find Palom... and HE'S ON A BOAT!!!! Apparently after a month, the sailor's are tired of his attitude... and yet seem very worried that he'll shove a lightning bolt where the sun don't shine... So, anyway he comes on board to berate the slow pace of the trip and to demand a seafood supper, but the fish don't bite because of the moon. So, anyway, they land, and zing off goes Palom. First he finds a chocobo forest so he can FORD THE RIVER!!!! He loses 17 barrels of gunpowder and 8 pounds of meat but he's made it to Troia.

In the castle we talk to the great women leaders of the nation and apparently one of them is going to die of poison soon so we have to train a new one. Her name is Leonora and she doesn't like Palom's attitude either. She joins anyway and we're off to the Tower of Trials, but first another chocobo so once again we can FORD THE RIVER!!!! Little Jimmy passes along with 458 pounds of grain, but we're off to Train.

We climb the tower and Palom makes a red doll for Leonora to burn, which she does eerily gleefully and learns the Fire? spell... we climb the tower some more and some midget red mages are biting at our ankles, so Palom orders Leonora to burn them too. She does so which rids us of the awful question mark, and increases the psychotic glee a little more... Leonora's looking a little hot and bothered, so her next lesson is to chill out, and learn the Blizzard? spell by freezing Palom's blue doll.

What other life lessons can Palom give our young politician? Find out next time!

TO BE CONTINUED!!!
